I have just received confirmation that our petition has been lodged in the House of Representatives and that the Clerk of the House will refer it to a Select Committee for a hearing.
This means that those supporting the petition may be called to appear before the Select Committee to support the petition to have the Maori Boarding Schools protected by legislation.
